Obituary of Darcy Knox EASTVELD

October 21, 1954 – Winnipeg, Manitoba August 11, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darcy Eastveld on August 11, 2015. Darcy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 21, 1954, where he attended elementary and high school. A kind and loving soul, Darcy was well known in the communities of Woodbine and Woodlands. He was quick to help the needy, giving far more than he ever took. Family and friends will remember Darcy’s heart, whether it be buying a Christmas tree, presents and dinner for a family that could not afford Christmas, music lessons or instruments for a child that had talent but couldn’t pay for them, or saving beer tabs for wheelchairs, Darcy was always there helping where needed. As a younger man at home, Darcy was always discouraging those of the male persuasion from getting too close to his sisters, and never backed down when one needed extra protection! (Thanks Bro!) Darcy loved his kids and his Harley. He never missed family campouts and always kept everyone laughing and smiling! He was always there to help. Darcy is survived by his children Curtis (Melissa) Eastveld, Bryan (Ashlynn) Rempel, and Danielle Eastveld; his grandchildren, Sadie and Sawyer Eastveld; his mother, Beverley Eastveld; his sisters and brothers, Colleen Gilbert, Sharon Rudyk, Kim (David) Thiele, Wade Eastveld, Toni (Harold) Jones, and Dean (Lisa Plotnikoff) Eastveld; his many nieces and nephews, Samantha and Aaron Gilbert, Tyler and Bradley Rudyk, Tanya, Terra and Kevin Thiele, Kyle, Kayla and Tannis Caravan, and Desarae Eastveld; and by his very many friends that he counted also as family. Darcy was predeceased by his father, Mark Eastveld and numerous aunts and uncles. Darcy, you will be missed, and always remembered! Love to you from us all follows you on your journey.
