Obituary of Salvatore Sam SIRIANNI

April 7, 1937 – San Giovanni In Fiore, Italy August 4, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Sam Sirianni, of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Sam immigrated to Canada in 1964. In 1965, Sam married his soul mate in Calgary where they raised their sons. He was a dedicated family man, giving a lot of himself in support of his children and their families. Sam took a lot of pride and satisfaction watching his children raise their own families. Sam also enjoyed spending time with his extended family which included all his friends in Nordegg. He could often be found sharing a glass of wine around the campground or kitchen table discussing fishing or the best way to cook pasta. Sam is survived by three sons, Joe, Dom and Bonnie, and Vince; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Luca, Mossimo, Rocco, Jacob, Joshua, Daniel and Grace; one brother Domenico (Rosa) Sirianni; two sisters, Teresa Talerico and Rosa Durante; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Teresa in 2002; brothers-in-law, Giuseppe Talerico and Saverio Durante; his parents Maria and Giuseppe Sirianni. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
