Obituary of Peter Herman MULLER

August 30, 1940 – Bandung , Indonesia July 15, 2015 – Calgary Alberta Peter Herman Muller of Calgary, Alberta, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2015 at Rockyview General Hospital after a short fight with pneumonia at the age of 74. Peter was born, from Dutch and Indonesian descent, on August 30, 1940 in Bandung, Indonesia. He graduated from the Institute of Netherlands as a Civil Engineer on January 1, 1965 and obtained his certification as a Cost Engineer from the American Association of Cost Engineers on March 28, 1983. He worked on prominent projects such as the Channel Tunnel between England and France, held top positions in the oil and gas industries in places around the world like Qatar, Kuwait, China and Calgary. Peter loved the Netherlands national football team. He enjoyed fishing, surfing, skiing, gardening and spending quality time with his family and friends. One of his many talents included painting and photography. Over the years, he collected a large library of movies and countless music albums which include his favorite singer, Neil Diamond. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his sister, Heidi Bulder of Amstelveen, Holland; Ledda (Rosales) Muller, wife of 27 years; sons, Troy, John, Peter and Paul; daughter Jill; grandsons Thomas and Travis. Peter was predeceased by his beloved parents, Johan Heinrich Muller and Theodora Muller; father in-law Aurelio Rosales. Ledda and her children wish to extend their gratitude to the Carewest Sarcee, Rockyview General Hospital Palliative Unit and to all the friends and family for the support in Peter’s final days. Peter will be remembered dearly for his love for life, live in the moment attitude, outgoing personality, willingness to help others, and for his overflowing generosity.
