August, 11, 1974 – Kano, Nigeria July, 4, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Ekaette, beloved wife of Reuben and mother of Joan, Irene and Obinna passed on July 4, 2015 at the age of 40 years. Ekaette was a brilliant mind who excelled in all works of life. She graduated from college as the best graduating accounting student of her class. She worked as a banker in Nigeria before migrating to Canada. Her passion for accounting didn’t end in Nigeria. She was admired for the tenacity and hard work with which she pursued and obtained the Certified General Accountants (CGA) designation in Alberta Canada. Within the period Eka lived here on earth she touched many lives with her kindness, sincerity and humility. Most of her friends described her as sweet and lovely. She was a good cook and her friends always looked forward to her meals. She was a strong Christian whose faith in God never wavered even in the face of overwhelming adversity. She trusted and praised God even unto the last moment of her life. She will be remembered as a celebration of hope and trust in God. She was the unity of boundless love and the inner beauty of a gentle spirit.
