Obituary of Lori Louise FUCHS
October 22, 1955 – Calgary, Alberta
June 29, 2015 – Olds, Alberta
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lori along with her husband Gery at their farm near Olds, Alberta.
Lori & Gery were married for 35 years. Lori was a wonderfully unique individual whose love for all of God’s creatures radiated from her soul. Dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, cows, birds, fish, and even the odd field mouse—Lori befriended them all. She will be remembered for her compassionate and giving spirit.
Lori is predeceased by her parents, Sherry and Robert Leinweber and is survived by her two sisters, Bev Malcolm (Bob) and Jodi Siferd (Sean); nephews, Brad (Ashton), Riley and Curtis (Jessica); nieces, Robyn, Dana and Colby. Lori was also survived by her beloved dogs, Rio and Sherman.
Animal friends aside, her passions were cooking, yoga and gardening. Lori was a great cook and enjoyed sharing her recipes. Her love for yoga gave her a spiritual balance that blossomed in recent years. Both Lori & Gery will be dearly missed.
If you were lucky enough to know Lori & Gery, please join us in their Celebration of Life on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Olds, Alberta. The service will take place at Olds College, in the Wetlands, near the ‘Old Red Barn’ (take Hwy 2A, entrance ‘D’ to Parking Lot DD). Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
