Condolences
Dearest Bowen Clan
It seems the adage “All good things ( and people) must come to an end ” is insufficient when we lose a great man. His even handed order and forgiving manner, he was always there for so many of us. Whether it was teaching the importance of a decent J-stroke or explaining the merit of a well constructed bowline knot. As I reflect at the so many things I was able to learn in my youth as a welcomed frequent visitor to your home, I realize this was my childhood and will be forever etched in my mind.
I am so proud of the way you all came together over the many months previous to Don’s passing but not a bit surprised at your strength. A testament of the tightly woven family fabric both your mother and he created. Through the various hard times each of you have endured and emerged stronger, because of your Dad as you all know. He touched me and so many others. I am so sorry I was only with you all in spirit. My sincerest sympathy to your lovely Mother, Fred, Robert, Wayne and Irene.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Sincere sympathy to you and your family.
Love from,
Sister Hazel & Family
Sincere sympathy to you Doris and your family on Don’s passing. I well remember your wedding and what a nice man Don was- the few times we were all together.

Val and I were so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. Don and I spent many good years working together at Imperial. We thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company with Don’s good humour and hard work, always getting the job done. Our annual Christmas lunch was always an opportunity to relive those “good old days “.
My condolences to you and your family.
-Bill Carson
