Obituary of Elaine Marie SCOTT

1936 – 2015 Beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Elaine died peacefully in her home as was her wish. Born in rural Saskatchewan, she moved with her family to Regina where she was educated. She eventually married Harold James (Scotty) Scott (D.) and moved to Edmonton where they raised their four children. She and her kids moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1970 returning to Calgary, Canada in 1972 where she was active in the oil industry. In all things she demonstrated a sharp wit and abiding compassion. Her great loves were her family, her home and her gardening. She will be sadly missed by her four children Deb Scott, Brenda Randall (Ken), Duncan Scott (Marlene), and Jay Scott; eight grandchildren Andrea Watt, Rob Watt, Rogan Scott, Justin Scott, Ryan Scott, Kaylee Scott, Stephanie Scott, and Kirian Petty; nine great-grandchildren; and her loving sister Donna Weisenberger. Her one unfulfilled wish was to have written her memoires, “Travels with Mama”. Don’t worry Mom…..we remember. A Celebration of Elaine’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
