Obituary of Dorothy Pearl Dronyk

In Loving Memory April 6, 1929- Rocky Mountain House, AB – June 2, 2015- Calgary, AB Dot (as she was affectionately known) passed away after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer on June 2, 2015 at the age of 86 at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, AB. She is survived by her four children: Cindy (Stan Wagner), Dwayne (Bev), Sue and Darryl (JoAnne) as well as seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John George Dronyk in 1969. Widowed at an early age with four children; she relocated her family from their acreage to the city where she initiated a 24+ year career at the Foothills Hospital and the U of C Medical Clinic, resulting in many treasured friendships and valued memories. Dot was an independent, proud and strong woman who loved country music, food, western culture and was happiest when the Rocky Mountains were in view and she had a pet in her lap. She was a pillar of strength to her family and friends with a positive attitude that carried her through life. Her infectious sense of humour and happy spirit touched all who knew her.
