Obituary of Murray Geddis WESTON

October 4, 1929 – Wellington, New Zealand May 27, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta Murray Weston, beloved husband of Audrey Weston of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Born in New Zealand before immigrating to Canada in 1952, Murray enjoyed hiking and skiing, coin collecting and archeology, as well as camping and travelling. He was past president and Hon. Life Member of both the Calgary Numismatic Society and the Purchasing Management Association of Canada. Murray’s career in the oil industry started in 1956 at Royalite, moved on to Sinclair, Banff, Aquitaine Co. of Canada and he retired from Canterra Energy in 1986 as the Purchasing Manager. Murray is survived by his wife Audrey of 59 years, son Brian (Shelley) and grandchildren Ashley and Christopher all of Calgary, and daughter Tricia Lynne Hay and grandchildren Eric and Kelly, of Perth, Australia. He is also survived by his two brothers, Graham (Mary), of Oxford England, and Roger (Ruth) of Wellington New Zealand and their respective children, as well as sister in law Marjory (Rod) Fauvel and their family. A Celebration of Murray’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY(Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
