Condolences
Dear McCallum Family:
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved Uncle Ralph. He was one of a kind.
Growing up in Williams Point, Nova Scotia it was always exciting to see Ralph driving the Motor Home up to the MacFarlane farm with Molly and the 5 boys in tow.
In the mid 80’s, me and my friend Francis Lefort ventured to Florida on our “Freedom 25 Tour”. Our last stop on this 3 weeks adventure was to visit Molly and Ralph in North Fort Myers including of course a golf game with Ralph. To help navigate us home, Uncle Ralph took out his maps and devised a brilliant written plan that had us getting back to Halifax on day 5. We veered slightly from the plan making it home on day 2 including a 4 hour stop in a dive motel in Delaware along the way. The next summer, Ralph asked me how the drive went…I didn’t have the heart and told him “Uncle Ralph it was perfect, we followed your directions to a tee”. He just laughed his friendly laugh, allowing me a pass on my fable.
My sincere condolences to the entire Mc Callum family.
