Obituary of Gerald Eugene BROWN

July, 22, 1927 – Kenora, ON May, 2, 2015 – Calgary, AB Gerry passed away peacefully at Father Lacombe Care Centre on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Gerry was born in Kenora, O.N. He grew up in Manitoba on a homestead. He joined Calgary Fire Department in February 1952 and he retired as a district chief on February 2, 1987. He enjoyed many years of retirement traveling North America with Irene. He loved hunting, fishing, family and friends. He helped manage the Calgary Firefighters Old Time Hockey Club. Gerry is survived by his children Larry (Margot), Barry ( Grace), Cindy (Ron). His six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his wife Irene; sister Marjorie; brothers Al and George.
