Obituary of Dorothy Gibson THRING

July 6, 1914 – Salmon Arm, British Columbia April 6, 2015 – Didsbury, Alberta Dorothy Thring passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015, just three months short of her 101st birthday. Dorothy grew up on a farm near Coronation and received her public education there, then continued her education in Edmonton and Calgary, becoming a teacher. She later operated a travel agency in Crossfield, AB. Dorothy enjoyed playing the piano, golf, curling, playing bridge, and especially camping at their cottage at Wasa, B.C., and travelling throughout the world. Dorothy leaves to mourn her daughter, Patricia Thring-Toule (Joe) of Edmonton, brother-in–law Wesley Thring (Mary) of Wyoming, U.S.A., and special friends, Jack and Judy McPhee, Neil and Debbie Poulsen, and Hal and Trudy Koop. She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 2002 and by her son, Ted, in 1984. A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be held at Crossfield United Church (1005 Ross Street, Crossfield, AB) on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 1:00p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
