Obituary of Stan WATERMAN

August, 30, 1938 – Calgary March, 19, 2015 – Calgary Stan beloved husband of Marlene of Calgary, passed away on March 19, 2015 at the age of 76 years. Stan was a long term employee of Husky Energy. He loved his family and the outdoors, particularly gardening and fishing. His greatest achievement was his long and happy marriage to Marlene, his support and joy for his sons and grandchildren and the love of his family. Significant words that sum up Stan’s life are strength, dependability, compassion and patience and a sense of humor. Stan is survived by his wife Marlene Waterman (Bolt); children Kevin Waterman of Calgary AB, James Waterman (Sharon), of Oakville ON, Darren Waterman (Julie), of Portland Oregon; grandchildren Nicole and Rebecca Waterman of Toronto ON, Cade Stanley Waterman of Portland Oregon; siblings Carol Dyer (Walt) of Kelowna BC, George Waterman (Shirley) of Halifax NS, Sharon Grolmus of Calgary AB. Stan is also survived by his loved ones Bonnie Pytlarz, Linda McLeod (Rod), Eleanor MacIntyre, Sharon Hamilton (Sam) and Daniel Bolt. Additionally numerous nieces and nephews and friends that are too many to name; his beloved Pet Alie. Stan was predeceased by his parents Eva Bice and Frederick Waterman as well as his brother Fred Waterman and brother in laws Ted Pytlarz and Bill Dyer. Many thanks to all of the many health care providers, family and friends that provided comfort and support as he bravely and quietly fought his cancer. His extended life expectancy was due to the outpouring of love and caring and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s support. A Celebration of Stan’s Life will be held at Kensington Legion, 1910 Kensington Road NW, Calgary on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2:00-6:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
