I had the great pleasure of working with Wayne at the Metis Settlements Appeal Tribunal. He had a wonderful way of making everyone here feel important and wiser for having spent time with him. Wayne led with his principles, keen desire to learn more about Metis communities and culture, and a deep respect for everyone around him.
Wayne will be fondly remembered as the founding Chair of the Metis Settlements Existing Leases Land Access Panel.
I am so sorry to have learned of Wayne’s passing, such a good friend over the many, many years. Jeanne please know I am thinking of you and the girls as you go through this heartache and grief. But nothing can take away the good memories that you have.
We were so sad to hear of Wayne’s passing. We were long time friends of Jean and Wayne.
Wayne worked with Donna at Hudson’s Bay when she was in high school. Don became friends with Wayne at University of Montana and went to Western Canada High with Jean.
Wayne could make you laugh till you cried. We had many great times together over the years.
We will miss Wayne. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jean and family
Goodbye dear Wayne- we at Dream Haven will miss your kindness and willingness to help at all times- you were a very special man.
My dear Wayne. You’ll be missed so much. You were my best friend and one of the kindest soul I have ever met. I cannot believe you are not with us any more.
My deepest condolences to the family and all of people who were fortunate enough to know you.

It brings tears to my eyes when I look at the beautiful picture of Wayne as I fondly remember how much fun we had together….so many laughs and good times and we always kept in touch over the years. We worked together at Hazelwood/Hampton and also Lamplighter. Hubby Garry also had great love and respect for Wayne…….he was a good friend to our entire family and we will miss him dearly.
Our deepest condolences to the entire family on the loss of your loving father, a great man and friend to all.

My dearest Wayne. I was so heart broken to hear the news of your passing. I had the honor of meeting you when my mom Linda Rauch worked with you many moons ago. You had the biggest heart and kindest sole and made me laugh for hours. I will never forget the day you let me come in the office while I was having contractions pregnant with my oldest because mom didn’t want me to be alone and she had a project she had to finish for you and even though I was freaking out, you kept me calm with your witty jokes and your crazy stories, they were the best, so many gut laughs. I will forever miss you and will never forget you.
