Obituary of Frederick STARK

STARK, Frederick November 1, 1931 – Bluesky, AB January 27, 2015 – Calgary, AB Fred Stark of Calgary passed away at the Bethany Calgary Care Centre on January 27, 2015, at the age of 83. Born in Bluesky, Alberta, Fred spent much of his formative years in the Kelowna and Southern B.C. region, before settling in Calgary with Maxine Stark (nee Adams) to raise a family. Fred was a loving and devoted father, always supportive of his children. A man of strong faith, he cared greatly about others and until suffering a stroke in 2012, actively participated in charitable work as a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Fred is survived by one daughter, Tamara Stark of London, U.K., his two sons and one daughter in law, William Stark and Kathy Thompson of Calgary and Alan Stark of Ottawa. He is also survived by his brother Tony Stark and his sisters, Min Connor, Doreen Smith and Loraine Kliciak, all of Edmonton. Father Edmund Vargas will celebrate a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 – 14 Street S.W.) on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
