Condolences
Dear Trung,
It is with great sadness that I found out just now that you had passed away nine years ago. I know we had lost touch after living in the dorms at the University of Lethbridge so many years ago. I recall our discussions about how you had arrived in Canada, and your harrowing escape from Vietnam. It is because of that background that you appreciated, more than anybody I know, how important it was to make the most of one's life, and that is why you chose to dedicate yourself to a life of medicine.
I remember consulting with you about math, biology, and chemistry homework because you were one of the most brilliant students I knew. You always helped me with great patience and a warm smile, and I always knew that you would make a great doctor.
I wish I could talk to you now about our experiences, and the different paths we chose to take in our lives. I just visited Vietnam for the first time recently, and that's what prompted me to look you up again to see how you were doing. You could imagine my shock when I learned that you were no longer with us in this world. But looking at all the tributes, I know you did the best you could in the time you had, and I'm comforted by the fact that you have a family to carry on your name and memory. Rest in peace, my friend. I will talk to you in my dreams.
We were deeply saddened to learn of your loss. Dr. Vu was our family doctor for approximately 5 years. We were extremely fortunate to have had such a caring and knowledgeable physician. When he decided to move his medical practice, we gladly moved along with him. His smile and laughter will be fondly remembered. During the course of our lives, we sometimes encounter people who truly impact on our lives for the better. Dr. Vu was one of these special people. We feel exceedingly blessed to have had known him. Our sincerest condolences to Dr. Vu’s family.
My heart goes to Dr. Vu’s family in this time of healing. I found out today that I had saw Dr. Vu five days before he passed. He was a gentle and caring man. I shared this with my colleague, who also went to him and we had a cry and then shared some moments of Dr. Vu as he always just made you feel comfortable with a little humor. The last time I saw him, he said some important things to me, that are life changing. I will never forget it. I’m truly sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace. God bless.
It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the sudden passing of Dr. Vu. He was our family doctor, and we feel like we lost a friend. He will be greatly missed. Please know that we share your sorrow and pray that the Lord will bless you with the courage and strength to face the coming days.
Dr. Vu was our family doctor. He was so caring about my daughter since her birth that we felt like losing a close family friend. May his departed soul rest in peace.
We were shocked, and very sad to learn of Dr. Vu’s passing this past week. He was the best family doctor we could have asked for and we will miss him and his sense of humour immensely.
Losing a loved one is never easy , and we just wanted to let you know our thoughts are with the family at this time.
