Obituary of Janet Pearl WEISNER

Janet Weisner of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015 after suffering the effects of a catastrophic fall in early December.
Janet was born in Calgary in 1939, daughter of Peter and Emma (Amy) Dippel. She attended Langevin and Crescent Heights High School, growing up in the Bridgeland district.
Janet was married to Gary Weisner on September 6, 1958 and spent her early married years raising her family in both Edmonton and Calgary. She then worked at Mount Royal College, took early retirement, and returned to the workforce with Imperial Oil until Gary became disabled in 1998. She re-focused her life on caring for him until his passing.
Janet is survived by her three children, Karen (Colin) Kinley, Steve (Deanna) Weisner, and Linda (Dallas) Miller; and three grandchildren, Austin, Mark and Cooper. She was predeceased by Gary Weisner, her husband of fifty-two years, in December 2010.
