Bev and Dale – We’ve just learned of your mom’s passing, Bev. Hers was a life well-lived. She has left a fine legacy for her whole family. Our sympathies to all of you, Dale and Suzanne Sands
My deepest condolences to your family on the loss of Mrs. Church. Clearly she lived a long and productive life, held strong values and was a source of inspiration and guidance to many, including her children, grandchildren and the many others she taught. My thoughts and sympathies are with you all.
Bob and family,
I think of you folks often and especially in October when I was visiting in Calgary and Airdrie. I talked about your Mom and our friendship and her character. She left a mark on my ministry but also on my life. She was wise, forthright and unpretentious. Having her respect meant a great to me as did yours. She was a remarkable lady who quietly went about leaving an impression on her family, church, community and indeed her province. You all are in my tho’ts and prayers today.
Our thoughts go out to the Church, Black and Kinniburgh families today. Alexa, inspired us all by living such a full and long life. Agnes spoke with her not long ago and was amazed by her sharpe mind and enduring enthusiasm. We were always so proud to call her family, what a legacy she has left. Our deepest sympathies to you all with special mention, to Bev Wilson who Dawn worked with at the medical clinic in Drumheller years ago.
Sorry I wasn’t well enough to attend Alexa’s funeral service.
She was a great source of inspiration to everyone and I am sure her wise counsel will be missed by all the family.

Our condolences to the Church family. We had a great admiration for Alexa and her family thru the years we knew her at St. David’s and at my dental office in Beddington. Dearest sympathy to Gord, Rosemary and Bob from us. Your mother was a true inspiration to all.
Dear Gord and Rosemary my deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.
I remember your Mom from the many times I saw her at Dr.Frohlich’s Dental Office.
She always amazed me with her humor and spunk, many hearts are sad today.
Please know y’all are in our prayers.
Our thoughts & prayers are with all of Alexas family. How we enjoyed knowing her for some 50 plus years and reading of her life in the book she had written. What a legacy and what memories she has left all of you as well as those whose lives she touched during her remarkable life. Cherish your many memories. We will remember her fondly.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the Church families. What an age to live to and have seen all the changes that a century has given her. She truly loved her family and community. Alexa was the true definition of a “legacy,” and a friend to all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
How sad we are feeling today at the loss of Alexa. Our hearts go out to you at this time.. How we wish we could be there to be with you to celebrate her life but we are unfortunately travelling and can only express our deepest sympathy from a distance to all the family that she was so proud to share with us. Gordon, Bob, Stan, Bev and Mabel we were honored to know your Mom. How we enjoyed the Flames games at the Saddledome with her has been and always will be in our fondest memories. She was a wonderful lady.
A sad day indeed. Alexa was an important part of my years growing up. I am indebted to her for the influence she had on me as leader of the Balzac United Church Sunday School for the nine years I attended. By far, the greatest impact she had on my life was during the summers of 1967 and 1968 when I worked for and lived with the family. I will never forget that experience. My heart goes out to all of you. May God bless you all.
Sincerely,
Lorne Sutcliffe
