Condolences
Glen and Family,
Thank you to Gord who helped my dad and I when times were tough.
He gave of himself unselfishly, listened, and always made himself “present” as a friend.
I vividly remember dog sitting Togi and walking him in the neighborhood and Edworthy Park This made me feel like a King. Thanks again Gord for all the great times and memories.
Best,
Ron Foster (Port Coquitlam, BC)

Dear Glen, Erin and family – We would like to express our condolences on behalf of all of Jake Rumpel’s family. Our dad had many special memories of Gordon when he was growing up and of the time that he spent at the Rumpel family farm. We very much enjoyed meeting Gordon when he visited the farm in 1999 and again when he and Illa were able to attend the Earl Grey reunion in 2005. Gordon had so many wonderful stories of his (our) grandparents and of our dad that he shared with us. One of his special memories was of he and Gerald K. cutting wood on the old saw that still sits out there. Our thoughts will be with you on Tuesday as you celebrate the long and successful life he lived.
Glen:
Your Dad was a great car dealer who was admired and respected by everybody he came into contact with and was held in high esteem by all the factory team from GM. We all could do well using him as a role model. If. when our time comes, we are as sadly missed as your Dad, we will have done well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Glen and family,
My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. I have many fond memories of working with your Dad as a GM City Manager and then in Business Management in Calgary Zone. I always remember him as being “factory friendly”, a straight forward, solid business man who contributed to my education and experience that would provide valuable lessons for my future careers in the car business. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate his life.
Sincerely, Barry Dohms
We’re currently in Arizona and just learned from Sharon of your dad’s passing, Glen. Your dad’s obituary was very moving and also gracious in its acknowledgement of AA. Losing a parent is always a difficult time. Our thoughts and sympathies are with you and your family.
Take care,
Maureen and Jim
We are so grateful to have known Gordon for a number of years. We spent many great times with both Gordon and Ila, the highlight being when we accompanied them to New York for the induction of Matt Scooter into the Hall of Fame.

We cherish the fond memories we shared in the past.

A loved one’s passing is never easy. We know the day will come, but death always leaves us with grief. Our hearts and thoughts are with you and you family.
Dear Glen & Family: Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your father. I knew your Mom & Dad firstly thru their friendship with my Mom & Dad (Fred & Betty Murray) but also later on in life at the WillowPark G.&C.C where I was on staff. I always looked forward to their visits in the proshop where we would talk about Gibbs and our mutual friends and family. They were such nice people and will be missed dearly. Sincerely, David and Wendy Murray
