Obituary of Joyce McCALL

February 17, 1934 – Bellshill, Scotland December 6, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Joyce McCall formerly of Labrador City, Nfld, beloved wife of the late John McCall, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Joyce grew up during wartime in Glasgow, Scotland, and worked with the Hoover Corporation before getting married in 1956. She immigrated to Canada in 1968 and raised a family in Labrador City, Nfld. She moved to Calgary in 2010. She loved her grandchildren dearly and she embraced any new adventure that involved travel and connecting with family and friends. She enjoyed cross country skiing and impressed many with her outstanding sewing skills creating unique coats, dresses, rugs, and other gifts for her loved ones. Joyce is survived by her brother Gilbert (Margaret), sons John (Janie) and Bill, daughter Joyce, grandsons Billy (Meaghan), Christopher, and Seamus, granddaughters Candace (Jesse), Katherine, Lisa, Rachel, Megan, and Cianna, great grandson Tyler, and great granddaughters Avah, Ciara, and Kinsley. She was predeceased by her husband John and her brothers Alexander, George, John, Robert, and James. A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
