Obituary of Betty Gertrude McFADYEN

November 13, 1927 – Fort Macleod, Alberta November 11, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved aunt and sister Betty McFadyen on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the age of 86 years. AB, as we all called her, is survived by her twin sisters, Margaret (Ralph) White of Nanaimo, BC and Louisa Sherlock of England. She is also survived by her devoted friend and companion Marcel Ferraris. Also left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Jane (Rob) Kerr of Calgary and Cathy Blackfeather of England; nephews, David (Maggie) Sherlock of Scotland, Christopher Sherlock (Yang Lee) of Vancouver, Michael Sherlock (Kim Farley) of Yellow Point, BC, and George (Carol) Hall of Calgary, and their families. Betty will also be missed by her step-son Thomas McFadyen, daughters Nichola and Emily and their mother Anne Style. Betty was predeceased by her husband Harold (1995) and parents George (1959) and Gertrude Scougall (1975). Betty was a native Albertan from Fort McLeod and all who knew her will remember her for her love of music. Her kind spirit and wise counsel touched many lives and as well as her family, she leaves behind many cherished friends including Margery Lloyd of Ottawa.
