Obituary
Obituary of Carol Kay LEE
1940 – 2014
Kay passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014. Her memory will be cherished by Bill, her husband of 50 years, by her daughters Tracy (Philip) and Sharon, by her much beloved grandchildren Clay and Pannos, and by her brother Ian (Noelle) of England. She loved them all very dearly. She will also be fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces and by many wonderfully supportive friends.
Kay was born in England at Southend-on-Sea to Norman and Julie Dyer. She immigrated to Canada in 1960, first to Toronto, then Calgary where she met Bill, the guy she said she’d been looking for. They married in 1964 in Calgary and spent their lives there and in Vancouver. Kay was a loving wife, mom and jajja, a loyal friend, and a very courageous woman. We will grieve her loss very deeply.
A Memorial Reception will be held at The Glencoe Club, (636 – 29 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB) on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Agapé Hospice, 1302 – 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B8 Telephone: (403) 282-6588. Agapé provided Kay with truly wonderful and compassionate care which gave her great comfort. The staff were, without exception, kind, obliging and professional and we love them for that. She could not have passed her final days in a more peaceful and caring environment.
In living memory of Kay Lee, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Calgary, AB, T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
