Condolences
It was a beautiful weekend to put up Christmas lights! We sure missed the ribbing we’d have been giving each other. Think about you often, Mikey!
Dear Debbie, Kristen and Lauren – the Canadian Propane Association will be honouring Mike through a donation to the Alberta Children’s Hospital as well as a moment of silence at our next Alberta Propane Committee meeting. Mike was truly respected by all in the industry for his wisdom and humour, and he will be missed. Our deepest sympathies.
Sincerely,
Scott McFadyen
We wish to pass our heart felt condolences to your family at this difficult time.

Dear Debbie,
Mike touched my life in so many ways. I’m so saddened and shocked for your loss. He was one of the good ones. He had tears in his eyes the day he had to part ways with me at Maxfield. Huge heart.
You and your girls are being prayed for.
God bless,
Darrell
Dear Debbie, Kristen and Lauren – I am sorry and saddened for your loss. I’ve worked on and off with Mike for 26 years and always appreciated and enjoyed his company. The Celebration attendance was an example of how much he was admired and I know personally of a number of people that would have also attended if possible. Kristen’s eulogy and all of your family’s composure is a great testament of a wonderful man who will be missed. My sincerest condolences.
To Deb, Kristen and Lauren
All I can say is that I have been thinking of you girls so very much over the past week. I hope that everyone’s supportive thoughts are giving you some amount of comfort and strength.
Sending you warm virtual hugs
Jennifer
Mike’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. I went to school with Mike from Jr. High to graduation from high school. All I remember about him was he was a really sweet guy. Never heard a bad thing come out of his mouth. He was kind and respectful to everyone.
Debbie, Kristen and Lauren and family,
We are so saddened to hear about Mike’s passing. Although I was only fortunate enough to speak to Mike a few times, I have heard of many success stories about Mike through my dad. Just witnessing my dad’s face light up with pride, I know that my dad holds Mike up with the highest amount of respect and esteem, and it makes Mike’s passing feel as if we had lost a family member. I know that these feelings were mutual for Mike, because when I was stranded in rural Alberta due to a car situation, Mike was the one who ensured that I got the help I needed to get me home safely. This only further highlights the great character and compassion he had for others around him.
Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time, but always remember that your husband/father was an incredible person.
Take care,
Stephanie, Andy, Nicholas
Debbie, Kristen & Lauren,
I am at a loss of words for your great loss. Please accept our deepest sympathies and know you are in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time.

I wish you and your family our deepest sympathies and hope you know that we are thinking about you all in this time of sorrow. Mike was a great man, had a heart of gold and was always there to offer help no matter what it was you needed. I am still in shock and know he will be deeply missed from my life and anyone that knew him.

I pray for healing of your hearts at the passing of such a wonderful man. I worked for Mike in Calgary and respected him and how he treated others. He treated me like a brother would and told the guys in the shop “No hovering” at her desk and kept the wolves at bay…So shocked and may God keep you close at this time.
Debbie, Kristen & Lauren,
We are so saddened to hear of your sudden tragic loss. We cannot find the words to express how sorry we are. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and hope that you find the strength to get through this. Kristen & Lauren we know how close you were with your dad. We know you spent a lot of quality time together as a family by the stories you would share about time at the cabin and the latest one of the family road trips to Edmonton for a family wedding.
With our deepest sympathy we send you our condolences, love and prayers.

So many memories. In primary school Mike arrived mid-term as the new kid with the crew-cut hair. Our teacher assigned me as his “school-buddy” to help him fit in. From that moment we became friends and best mates. He was my best friend from late in primary school all the way through to high school graduation. We were “buds” as Mike would say. We hung out together, got in trouble together, got away with it together, and we shared all the discoveries of all the things you go through growing up. We were best mates. He was the kind of best friend you have only once in your childhood, and it’s the childhood friends you remember the most as time goes by.
I left Calgary in 1986 when we were 24 yrs old, on a one way ticket to another part of the world. Mike and Debbie got married at the beginning of that summer – a beautiful celebration – and I left at the end of that summer. When it was time to go, Mike absolutely insisted on seeing me off. So when I said good-bye to my family, Mike was there too. He was that kind of friend. Genuine and loyal. Special.
In the summer of 2010 Stephanie and I were fortunate to spend a weekend at the cabin with Mike and Debbie and their beautiful girls Kristen and Lauren. They got to meet our young children Laura and Theo, and for the first time Mike and I shared being with both our families as we hung out together. It was wonderful.
From myself, Stephanie, Laura, and Theo our heartfelt compassion to Debbie, Kristen, Lauren, family, and all the other loved ones Mike left behind.
My sadness in losing him from life is comforted by so many amazing memories of sharing so many important moments in life with his genuine and loving soul. He was an amazing man and a beautiful spirit.

So sorry for your family’s loss. He was a great influence to all that knew him. I will always be grateful that I had a chance to know him as a coworker and friend. I will miss his “hey smart chic”. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
Again so sorry
Rhonda.

Mike always made us smile. Whether it was through his genuine generosity or his joking around or his kindness, he always made us smile. He loved his life, he lived it truthfully; he LOVED his family; he was a protector and a prankster and we feel fortunate to have known him.
love Renée and Ken
My deepest Sympathies to Mikes family. Went to High school with Mike and hung out on the weekends. I remember he always had a smile on his face, a kind soul huge heart. My love and prayers are with you all. Sincerely Patti Strogal
Debbie, Kristen, Lauren, and family; It is with sadness I offer my condolences to your family at this difficult time. I had the opportunity to teach Kristen and Lauren, and must say, they were an absolute joy to teach..all the teachers loved them!! What a testament to you, Debbie and Mike. May The Lord hold Mike in his comforting arms. Rose Esligar
To Tom, Craig, Valerie and Shirley and mom Anne. I was so sorry to see Mike’s death notice in the paper. I have lived in Calgary the last two years but I have great memories of summers spent at Buffalo Pound Lake. We had a lot of good times out there. I see that Mike was at his cottage when he passed. I am sure that would be where he wanted to be. I know my parents never gave up their cottage. We sold it when they passed. My prayers go out to you and your families at this hard time. Hold on to your wonderful memories of Mike.
Debbie, I met you and Mike at your birthday party, and although you both had your hands full with a house of party goers and well wishers you were both so amazing and gracious. I offer my sincerest and deepest condolences to and your family. May your memories bring you comfort!
We are so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Mike. We are thinking of all the fond memories as neighbors as we send our deepest sympathy to Deb and the girls and to your families.
Debbie, Kristen & Lauren,

Debbie, Kristen, Lauren and the Moore Family
Our hearts are saddened at this tragic loss to your family.
Mike’s face would light up when he spoke of each of you, his pride beamed when speaking of the three of you.
As you know, Mike would do anything to help someone and I cannot express how much he helped Greg and I and he never expected anything in return. It is an honor to call Mike a friend and he will be greatly missed by so many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow.
Debbie, Kristen and Lauren,
