It seems very odd to be writing this, not knowing who will receive it. We thought of Eleanor very much as a part of our family. She and our Mom, Marion, grew up together on 8th Street in Medicine Hat and she was just always with us – from the time we were born through all of the gatherings and celebrations of our family, and especially with us – the kids – when our Mom died and then our Dad. She was like an “aunt” but to us she was always “Eleanor”. She stopped writing awhile ago and we lost track of what had happened. It’s good to know again where she is and that it’s time to celebrate her goodness and kindness, her care and contribution to our lives. We loved her and take comfort in knowing that she’s safely “away”, leaving a legacy of love in our hearts and tons of good memories. Another saint is born.
