Dear Terry, Ryan, Alex and Heston,
We are so very sad to hear of the passing of Cheryl, it has come as quite a shock having seen her in January, so happy to be with us all. We remember her as a truly warm and loving woman, who made us feel like part of her family from our first meeting. She was so genuinely interested in us all, so generous with her words and warmth.
We are thinking of you all, and sending our love from Australia.
Much love,
Anne, Lara, Julia and Isobel

Our deepest sympathy with you all at such a very sad time.
Cheryl was a beautiful warm and caring lady who made me feel so comfortable and part of the family the moment I met her for the first time when visiting Alex in Canada in 2005.
Alex was so lucky to have gained another mother in Cheryl and our family will be forever grateful for how much Cheryl adored Alex.
Thank you Cheryl for being the beautiful lady you were, I’m so grateful that we got to catch up with you in Australia at Christmas time.
Keep smiling and remember the beautiful memories you have, my love to you all xxxxx

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Cheryl, no words can really be said to express how you are feeling, it is indeed a very difficult time. Cheryl is now at peace and free of the pain she must have been dealing with, hang on to the good thoughts and love you had for each other.
Take care of each other and hug each other lots . Thinking of you all very much at this sad time.
Ian & Betty
Our hearts go out to Terry and extended family at this time. To good friends Rose and Myles Monea who included us in the many family events where we had the honour of getting to know Cheryl and Terry. Cheryl had many conversations with us that always started with her genuine care of how our lives were going regardless of what was happening in hers. The care for her family showed in the planning she was fond of doing for the Next family event. Know that she has touched many lives and we hope you lean on the many people around you who care so much for you all.
Terry we are so sorry to hear about Cheryl, it happened so fast. We will always remember her as a warm wonderful happy lady.
Sincerely, from you’re Shuswap friends Yvonne and Mike
Terry, Ryan, Alex and Heston: my sincerest condolences. Please know that you are in my thoughts and sending you love on behalf of your family and friends in Australia.
I will forever be indebted to Cheryl for the love, warmth and open arms in which she has welcomed not only Alex, but all of us into your family. I will always cherish the fond memories of Cheryl’s incredible generosity and bubbly personality: She had a special ability to make everyone feel welcome and included, she was a generous host and a true friend.
Although it saddens me that I can’t be there with you, know I am with you in spirit, and will raise a glass in Cheryl’s honour.
Much love to you all,
Amy
Our deepest sympathy to all Cheryl’s family and friends, we will be thinking of you, especially tomorrow, as we are not able to attend the memorial.
Our deepest sympathy to Terry, Ryan and family.
As a young rep for Petro-Canada I always enjoyed visiting the Murphy’s and getting great insights from Cheryl. She was a real fire cracker and one to be reckoned with!
As years went on we enjoyed our friendship and have nothing but happy memories of Cheryl.
Lots of Love,
Vandy, Danny and Shelby
It is with such a heavy heart that I send our deepest sympathy to you all at this sad time.Emails across the miles and a handful of togetherness were all we needed to develop a lovely friendship. Cherish each moment with the ones you love as Cheryl certainly did. We will never forget her warmth, generosity and her hugs via the net, which came often. Much love (and hugs) to you all. A kinder and more spirited soul is hard to find. So hard when taken so early. Thinking of you Terry, Ryan and Alex with a heavy heart. We hope you find solace soon in the special memories. Cheryl will be dearly missed by so very many. Her sunniness will always shine at the lake.
Warm hugs and thoughts from the Shuswap, Kelowna, Vancouver and Edmonton.

On behalf of all of your extended family in Australia I want to express our extreme sadness at Cheryl’s sudden passing. She was a great hostess, a beautiful lady and more recently a doting grandmother.
It is an enormous reality check that last Christmas she was with us in Australia, for all appearances managing her illness, and now she is gone. She will be sorely missed.
To Terry, Ryan, Alex, Heston and Cheryl’s family in Canada our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We will have a celebration to her life on Tuesday.
John

Terry, Ryan, Alex and Heston,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always think of Cheryl as a kindhearted, loving and welcoming woman who loved her friends and family dearly. I was so glad to have a visit with her on August long weekend and see the joy that Heston brought her. As she was walking away from the cabin, Heston in tow, she said, “Thank you girls for blessing us with them.” We are all blessed for having known Cheryl and will remember her fondly.
Thinking of you all,
Andrea Thompson
Terry and Family;
We were sad to see the announcement today in the Red Deer Advocate. After living next door to you for years in Dauphin , then Living in Kamloops at the same time and then moving to Bentley 27 years ago to meet you folks in Red Deer, we are now sad to hear of Cheryl’s early passing. Our condolences go out to you at this time. We are so proud to have known a special person like Cheryl who has given so much to so many in her short life time. Our Prayers are with you at this time. God strengthen and encourage you with His hope that there is a day when we will meet together again where there will be no more sickness, pain or parting. With our love Pastor Greg and Janet Rathjen

Dear Terry, Ryan, Alex & Heston:
We are very saddened to hear of Cheryl’s passing… she was so young and still wanted to do so much. It is a relief to know that Cheryl is free of needles, chemo and pain. She fought hard and the journey was long. Each of you were very dedicated to her.
I am sure Cheryl is in heaven planning a dinner party with the angels and old and new friends! She will have everyone in the heavens organized in no time… and heaven will never be the same!!!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. If we can help you in any way please let us know.
Love and Hugs,
Andrea and family

We are deeply saddened by Cheryl’s passing. It’s only been barely a couple months since we were enjoying a glass of wine on your deck and discussing having dinner again at Buon Giornos. Cheryl is such a beautiful person inside and out and we are truly blessed to have known her. She is always upbeat and positive even when things are stacked up against her. We can’t believe she’s gone….too soon, too fast. She will be missed. We’re thinking of all of you during this very difficult time.
With a saddened heart, I reach out to you both Terry & Ryan. My condolences to you each on the passing of your sweet loved One. So very very sorry for this huge loss.
Though the void Cheryl leaves behind in each of you will never really be re-filled, may you both find healing in the celebrating that which was a life well-lived.
God Speed.
Terry, Ryan, Alex … I think you all know how much Cheryl meant to Lisanne and I and I am sure Lisanne will have a few comments as well as the day goes on. Our memories of her as Lisanne’s bridesmaid in at our wedding in Mexico will be with us forever. Our work together on United Way Cabinet in Red Deer that led to her and I and Lisanne travelling to a national UW conference in Montreal and simply having a blast – a late night search for Montreal Smoked Meat was epic. We are so sad to hear this news. Our thoughts are with all of you and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Lloyd Lewis
John and I want to express our sadness and extend our condolences to all the family. She was a truly lovely lady and I always enjoyed our conversations on the deck. Our thoughts are with you.

Terry, we want to say how sorry we were to hear of Cheryl’s Passing. She was a wonderful person and we know you will miss her terribly (as we will).
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
My sincere condolences to you Terry and your family. What a tragic early passing.
Sherolyn and Rose had let me know how things were from time to time but I must say I was shocked.
Cheryl gave fantastic contributions to Red Deer in her time here. She worked with me on the United Way board and events. I think I gave her headaches from time to time but I loved her committment and how generous she was with her time and effort to worthwhile causes.
I also remember being at your home a couple of times for the Academy awards, a great festivity.
I hope you find comfort with your grandson as well as his parents. Little ones serve as great reminders of the cycle of life.
Cheryl will be fondly remembered by me and I know by many, many others.
My thoughts are with you at this tough time.
Terry, Ryan , Alex and Heston:
I sit here thinking of my beautiful cousin: our childhood adventures from the farms in Saskatchewan, reuniting in Kamloops when I got to share in the arrival of Ryan, her true devoted love for Terry, her joy in the arrival of Heston, Cheryl, Terry and I at the Kentucky Derby are but a few of the memories I hold dear.
We shall all miss her .
My deepest sympathy to all.
Love,
Cousin Milton
