Obituary of Shirley Ann Marie HLEUCKA

Shirley Hleucka, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the age of 86 years. Shirley worked for the federal, then the provincial government, for over twenty years. After her retirement she devoted her life to helping her children and grandchildren.  Shirley loved animals, especially all her dogs and cats over the years. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She especially enjoyed her trip to Hawaii. Shirley married William Victor Hleucka, the love of her life, on February 9, 1952, and had three loving children. Shirley was a beautiful lady who always ensured she looked her best.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Brenda (Douglas) Pollard and son Keith Shane Hleucka; grandchildren, Jesse Hleucka, Justin Hleucka, Kimberly (Douglas) Muirhead, Amy Pollard, Joel Drake, Kelsey Drake, Joshua (Lisa) Pollard, and William Hleucka; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister Betty Wood.

Her husband William Hleucka predeceased Shirley; daughter Shannon Drake; parents Alma and William; brother Charles Connor; and sister Margaret Connor.
