Obituary of Donald Morton

Donald Joseph Morton (Don) of Airdrie, AB passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 17, 2019 after battling a long illness at the age of 62 years.
Don was born in Beardmore, ON, on September 7, 1957. He was proud man who served his country for twenty years before becoming a long-haul truck driver. During his spare time, you could find him with family and friends as that was the most important thing to him. When people crossed his path, they left with a smile and a full heart. He was always so welcoming, funny, caring and most of all, loving. Don was nothing short of a warrior and will be greatly missed.
Don is survived by two sons, Donald Morton (Kim) of Airdrie, Adam Morton (Chrissy) of Thunder Bay, his two daughters, Gina Feddery (Doug) of Thunder Bay and Serenity Morton of Owen Sound; his three brothers, Fred Morton of Nanaimo, Robert Morton (Maria) of Thunder Bay, Mark Morton of Airdrie, and four sisters, Tudy Ball of Parkville, Alice Yanchuk (Richard) of Atikokan, Isabelle Berthlette of Nanaimo, and Gladys Morton (Darrell) of Airdrie; his nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Don was predeceased by his son, Chance Morton, parents, Fred and Mabel (Hardy) and one sister, Mae Morton.
Don was cremated on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 and his ashes will be released near his family, as per his wishes.
