Obituary of Darcy Alan DEIBERT

March 2, 1957 – October 24, 2019

Darcy Alan Deibert passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 62 years of age with his family by his side.

Darcy was born in Empress, Alberta and grew up in Medicine Hat. He moved to Calgary in 1975 to attend SAIT and pursue Petroleum Technology before starting his career as a Geological Technologist. He worked in the oil and gas industry for thirty-nine years, which included off shore work in Newfoundland. For the majority of his career Darcy worked at Chevron, until he retired in 2016.  Darcy was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, son and brother. He loved to golf, keep a meticulous garden and yard as well as spend time with his wife in Henderson, Nevada which he called his “paradise”.

Darcy is survived by his beloved wife Diane, son Michael and daughter Janine. He is also survived by his mother Bertha Deibert, brother and sister-in-law Darryl and Paulette Deibert, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home, where friends and family are invited to share memories and celebrate the life of Darcy.  Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
