Condolences
The memories of Garry will be in my heart forever. I admired Garry very much. He was always there to lend a hand, whether it was a community project, helping a neighbor finish their harvest or just a neighbor in need. My first memories of Garry are riding with him in a grain truck at harvest, as about an 8 year old boy. Garry and his dad, George were helping my Grandpa Everett, my Uncle Ross Bills and my dad..
Over the years my dad and I often worked closely with Garry harvesting. The funniest memories I have of my dad and Garry talking like our Hutterite friends and having fun with Eldon Stafford, Ron or Roy Sackett, Ross Bills and many others. They would often play tricks on each other and they were all in good fun but always left us laughing. After a late night of combining we would often partake of a shot of scotch whisky. We would joke that the brand "J&B Scotch" stood for Jones & Butler.
I am at a age in my life now were these memories mean a great deal to me. My wife and I were lucky to spend some time with Garry and Brenda, Mark and Diane or Todd and Tracey in Arizona and we would have a lot of laughs. We were also lucky to have visited with Garry and Brenda a short while ago in Airdrie as they had just moved there from Drumheller.
Thank -you Garry and Brenda for your friendship, I will miss Garry very much.
I was so sorry to hear of Garry’s passing. Garry was one of those “one in a million” kind of people and both he and Brenda are as my parents often said, “The salt of the earth and two of the finest and best friends anyone could have”. Garry had such a great sense of humour, such wit, was always so genuine, had such enormous compassion for all people and had such a great love for his family and friends and anyone privileged to know him. Our parents and family were the lucky recipients of he and Brenda’s generosity, support and friendship on so many occasions. We cherish the memories of all those Christmas parties, dinners at the farm, adventures on the ski doo and in the Quonset and wonderful chats and coffees with them. Our deepest and most heart felt sympathies go out to you Brenda and to Mark, Leanne, Todd and to all Garry’s grandchildren and in-laws. Our thoughts are prayers are with you at this difficult time.

We're so sorry for your loss....he was a great neighbor and friend. We have some wonderful memories of him and you Brenda and family. We wouldn't be able to attend his service, we'll be away, but we'll be thinking of all of you. Sending our deepest sympathy to you Brenda, Mark & Diana, Leanne & Jens, Todd & Tracey and your families.
I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing, always so friendly. Hugs to the whole family
Sending our sincere sympathy to the Jones family...Always enjoyed our visits with Garry while he was in Hanna
Our prayers and love are with Brenda and the entire family. Garry was an extra-special friend in Arizona — he was always there for anybody who needed anything . His laugh was amazing and always a joy to hear! Garry had so many talents and a love of life. We know our lives have been enriched because he was a part of our lives. We loved him! We will hang on to wonderful and fun memories forever. Brenda, we hope you can ‘feel’ our love and hugs. You will especially remembered in our prayers.
Bill and Charlotte Brenning
Fond Memories, Where did the time go! My Condolences to the Family and to you Brenda seems like yesterday visiting the farm with Uncle George, Phyllis and Gary in that Grand Farm House. Dinners at your place on the Farm as well were always a treat.
