I am so saddened of Uncle Mike's passing. This news came to me as a total shock. I'll always remember Uncle Mike's kindness, his love of family, and his love of the Habs.... or any Montreal sports team. My condolences to Aunt Florence, Pamela, PJ, Trevor, Vicki, Sophia, Luke and Tyler. My family knows what you are going through. Hopefully Mike and Dad are having a great conversation. Be close and support each other. Mom (Aunt Audrey) gives her condolences as well.
Florence, so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was a good man with a lot of wisdom to offer. We still reflect on your goodness to us when we were out in Calgary a few years ago when you drove us from the hotel and back after you served us dinner.
May God comfort you and bring peace at this rough patch on your journey.
Mike accomplished a great family, career, and life. He enjoyed seeing his children and grandchildren set out on their accomplishments with school, careers, sports, and life. Sophia, Luke, and Tyler’s biggest fan, Mike cheered them on, revelled in their skills, and knew when to cheer loudly - in figure skating and hockey equally.
It’s been a few weeks and so much has happened - with emptiness and sadness just off to the side - most of the time. Not even Mike’s favourite NHL team has won a game since he passed. Remembering Mike cheer and clap for his grandkids and watching him enjoy their success every moment he could is everlasting. We all miss you.
I was always proud that you were my dad. You were always honest with me. I am grateful that I got to say good-bye. I am lucky that you welcomed Vicki into the family and that you were so involved with Luke and Tyler and how much they loved you.
Rest In Peace Dad and know how much I loved you.
PJ
