Obituary of Patricia Irene BALLARD

September 16, 1945 – Red Deer, Alberta
November 18, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Patricia Ballard of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 74 years.

Patti was born in Red Deer, Alberta on September 16, 1945. She lived in Vancouver BC for part of her 20s before settling in Calgary. 

Patti raised two boys as a single mom and became grandma to four wonderful grandchildren. With her boys in elementary school she studied business at Mount Royal College and spent her career as a Human Resources professional. Working into her 70s, she loved her work and especially her work friends and colleagues. 
 
Patti enjoyed adventure, especially if it involved the outdoors or a chance to eat or cook something new. A favourite was taking her grandkids to new restaurants and passing on her passion for cooking. She loved Christmas with her granddaughters and summer vacations with her grandsons. 

Patti is survived by her son Criston, his wife Kelly and granddaughters Karlee and Amy, as well as her son Sean, his wife Janice and grandsons Aiden and Myles. She is also survived by sister Carol Ross, sister-in-law Jurene Olmstead, brother John Pistawka, their families, and the family of her brother Bill Pistawka. 

A Celebration of Patti’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.    Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com
