Obituary of Edward GALLAGHER

September 4, 1933 – Glasgow, Scotland

December 15, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Edward Gallagher of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the age of 86 years.

Edward will always be remembered for his generosity, a tender heart that delighted in helping others and his love of golf and soccer.

He worked at AGT and Telus for over thirty years, and was a dedicated soccer referee for many years.

Edward was the loving and dedicated husband of Mary Gallagher for sixty years. He will be missed by his two sons Andrew and Edward Gallagher; his sisters, Eleanor Fenton and Annie Malone; and was a loving grandfather of Liam and Abby Gallagher. He will be deeply loved by all of his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Marie Gallagher on April 29, 2007 and his brother Tommy Gallagher.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church (5504 – 20th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. and all are welcome. Reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
