Obituary of Perry Michael CAMPBELL

January 9, 1957 - Hanna,   Alberta   

December 8, 2019 – Calgary,    Alberta

It is with deep sadness we say good-bye to our Father, Spouse, Brother, Uncle, Great-Uncle and Friend. Perry suddenly left this world, leaving us all grieving and shocked on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

Perry was born in Hanna, AB. He lived between Delia and Hanna before moving to Calgary in late elementary where he lived until his death. He attended Crescent Heights High School.

He tried out several jobs (most related to siding and eavestrough) before settling in for 19 years with the City of Calgary where he found a job that very much suited him.

He was rarely angry and the life of many parties (especially in his youth). He loved fishing and hunting. He was an amazing cook and sausage/jerky/salami maker! His pig roasts were famous, all done with the pig buried in a hole in the ground.  Family held a special place in his heart, he adored his son. Perry was extremely genuine and authentic; you always knew exactly what he thought and never had to worry about where you stood with him.

He was taken too soon from us.  We will all miss him greatly.

He is survived by his son Charles Cross-Campbell; Marnelle Cross; his  sister Paulette (Rob) Schmidt; his nephew Michael (Tracey) Schmidt;  nieces, Karie (Chad) Jones, Jamie (Donny) Collins,  and Kelly (Daniel) Leronowich; great-nephews, Jackson and Samuel Schmidt, Cody and Tanner Jones,  and Patrick Leronowich; and his great-nieces, Celina and Lexie Collins and Katherine Leronowich.

He was predeceased by his parents Bill and June Campbell; his brother Patrick Campbell; his sisters, Brenda Campbell and Barbara Morden; and his brother-in-law Nelson Morden.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.    Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
