Obituary of Hubertus Paulus Maria WIGGERS

Hubertus Wiggers of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the age of 75 years.

Hubert was born in Enschede (The Netherlands) on September 8, 1944, he was the youngest of eleven children. He married Siny Wissink in March of 1963, they had three sons. In June of 1981, he and his family immigrated to Nobleford, AB. In 1991, he moved to Calgary where he worked at various car dealerships until his retirement. In 2010, he met Penne O’Neill and the two of them spent the last ten years enjoying travel to Mexico, Australia and all over Europe. Hubert was a proud member of the German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary. He enjoyed meeting friends for coffee and exhilarating conversation. He loved good food and drink and a great story. He was an enthusiastic conversationalist and would welcome all kinds of debate.

Hubert is survived by his loving partner, Penne O’Neill; his sons, Ron (Diane), Michel and Davey Wiggers; his grandchildren, Ryan (Terena), Monique, Chesney, Courtney and Brendan Wiggers; his great-grandchildren, Thea, Lauton and Etley Wiggers. He will also be lovingly remembered by Penne’s children Lindsay (Rodney) Payne, Patrick and Kelly (Melissa) O’Neill; and grandchildren, Shae Payne and Jack, Cael and Rylee O’Neill.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
