Condolences
Sending my deepest condolences to the Thomson family. Remember to keep your special memories of Judy close to your heart.
I had the privilege of meeting Judy in 2008 and worked indirectly with her for many years. Judy had a kind heart and soul. I miss my conversations with her and think of her often. It is so sad that her flame was extinguished so early in her life’s journey.
I am sure many colleagues will reflect on how lucky they were to have worked with Judy, she was a special lady. She will be missed by many.
Best regards,
Shirley Chollak
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Judy. We went to elementary and high school together in Rossland BC. She was a great friend, team mate and a beautiful person. I will cherish all our memories and hope she is now at peace.
Dear Carol and family, I was so sorry to read Judy’s obituary today in the Trail Times. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I remember Judy as a child. It has been many years since we’ve seen each other but sometimes you cross my mind and the activities we use to be in together. My thoughts are with you, Mariette Knudsgaard
" I have such fond memories of countless shared lunches, laughter, storytelling and good times with Judy. We enjoyed close to a thirty five year friendship which began when Judy was with the Centre for Suicide Prevention where her significant contributions to program design, coordinating workshops and managing a trainer network are part of her legacy to the program. Affectionately known as "the Gap Girl" because of her exceptionally stylish and trendy dress Judy was both generous and giving of her time and many talents. Judy was an "IT Whiz Kid" and I recall with deep gratitude her kind and incredibly patient nature in helping me negotiate technology. While our life and career paths changed over the years ( and sadly our get togethers became less frequent) I always took great comfort in knowing that we could "pick up where ever we left off" when we did meet.
A vibrant, kind, caring and compassionate young woman with a wonderful sense of humour and so much to offer will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
My sincere condolences to the Thomson family- may you take comfort in your memories.

I met Judy in 2006 at work at the Calgary Health Region. I’m so very grateful she became a cherished friend. I have many memories of her through the years. Some favorites were going out for dinners with friends, chatting about just about anything, her joining me in my backyard for a couple birthday bashes, seeing her dress up in a matching sequinned dress with other colleagues, having fun, and even just regular visits at our desks at Quarry Park.
She was so kind, patient, funny, and touched so many people at work. I miss her tremendously.
I knew Judy from The Centre for Suicide Prevention as a kind, warm, compassionate and competent woman.
With sympathy to her family and friends,
Leta Hart
