Obituary of Barry Richard McKENZIE

Barry McKenzie, beloved father and grandfather passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the age of 73 years, with his sons by his side.

Born July 23 1946, in Rocky Mountain House he spent the first 20 years of his life there as a farm hand and wildfire fighter until he got his class 1 driver’s license. He spent over 40 years driving across Canada and the USA hauling all different things.

Barry loved his two sons Rick and Shane and often took them on the road with him. He also loved wife Rosemary although separated they still had a close bond.

In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and camping. He also liked to watch John Wayne and Clint Eastwood westerns. In his last few years he had a found a love for Keith Urbans Country music. He was a great man and father and will be missed by all who loved him.

He will be remembered by his sons Rick (Miranda) and Shane (Crystal); his grandson Ethan; and his wife Rosemary.
