Obituary of Eileen PORTER (nee Pasieka)

December 25, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Eileen was a strong, kind, fun loving, humorous, supportive, comforting, and beautiful person inside and out. She was the loving mother of her children, Lance, Lee-Anne with her husband Alex, and Adrian with his wife Julene. She is survived by her grandsons, Jaison with his partner Christa, Justin with his fiancée Danielle and her son Trixan, Phillip with his wife Larissa, and her great-grandson Gavin. She is also survived by her brothers, John and Virginia Pasieka; Mike and Julie Pasieka; and also by a special addition to our family, Stella Johanson. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Phillip John Porter, parents, Mary and Steve Pasieka; sisters, Annette Mercier and Mary-Anne Pasieka.

Eileen was born in Chipman, Alberta on June 18, 1939. She shared her time between Calgary, Sicamous and Mexico. She loved spending her time with family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, playing cards, anything to do with her grandsons and of all aspects of curling. Mom was a great dancer and spoke fluent Spanish, which made going anywhere in Mexico with her a great adventure. She lived life to the fullest; she travelled the world and made her mark along the way.

Eileen, Mom, Grandma, Auntie, friend....you will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Flanagan Hall.
