Condolences
The alumni of the Faculty of Environmental Design (now School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape) would like to extend our condolences to the family of Hans Kerkovius at his passing.
Hans was among the very first to earn a Master of Environmental Design degree from the University of Calgary in 1976. He attained this significant distinction through his skill and determination. Classmates found him to be a very thoughtful learner who was hospitable with grace, and eager to apply his knowledge professionally. His personal success helped those who followed to negotiate their own journey through this innovative faculty. The family must be justifiably proud of Hans for a life well-lived.

To Elfriede, Lex, LIllian, Andre and Coleen,
Please accept our condolences on the loss of your husband, father and father-in-law. He was a remarkable man who always worked to make life better for his family. I hope that your memories of him will sustain you in your mourning.
What a wonderful next door neighbour, Hans was to us when we moved to our new home . He, along with Elfriede, were so kind and thoughtful and the best neighbours in the world. We have happy memories of Hans, Elfriede, Lex and Andre and Patches. An excellent example of life lived to its fullest.
