Obituary of Dumitru Mike SPATARU

January 4, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Dumitru (Mike) Spataru. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the age of 70 years.

Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ioana; his son and daughter-in-law, Valentin and Victoria Spataru; and his grandchildren, Anna, Marcus and William. He is also survived by his close friends, Marilena and Valeriu Constantin and his family and friends in Romania and Italy. He was predeceased by his wife Rodica in 1999 and his eldest son Sorin.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
