Obituary of Moshe GREENFELD

June 23, 1946 – Haifa, Israel

January 7, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Moshe Greenfeld of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the age of 73 years.

Moshe came to Canada to study in 1970, graduating with a P.Eng. degree from the University of Waterloo. While studying he met his future wife Tzipa and he famously told her “young man go west” so they packed their belongings and their first born son and moved to Alberta. After working a few years for the Alberta Research Council and then Imperial Oil, he ventured on his own and opened his own company, MG Engineering. There he developed a technology for the treatment of waste produced by the oil industry and sold plants around the globe. He loved cars and driving fast and was a member of a couple car enthusiast clubs in town. He loved food, travel and meeting people of different cultures, and at home was known to barbecue the thickest and best steaks and ribs that would fall off the bone.

Moshe is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tzipa; their two sons, Yuval (Sandra) Greenfeld and Eyal (Mandy) Greenfeld; as well as five granddaughters who were the lights of his life and will miss their Saba very much; as well he is survived by his sister, Nili Baldar.

Moshe is predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Pnina Greenfeld.
