Obituary of Paul William FOSTER

August 19, 1948 – Preeceville, SK

January 7, 2020 – Calgary, AB

On January 7, 2020 Paul William Foster went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 71 years after a long battle with AS.

God blessed him with many years of being able to work, contribute to his church community and enjoy frequent visits with his daughters. Paul was a long-standing business manager (in Toronto, Richmond and Kamloops) and was a church board member throughout his working life.  More recently, he was known for his love toward and involvement in the special needs and respite program serving the young people of Centre Street Church and for the godly influence he was to many people there.

He will be remembered for his love for God, youthful energy, outgoing nature, commitment to the church and dedication to his family and community.

Though we rejoice that he is in heaven with his heavenly Father, Paul will be greatly missed by his children, extended family, church community and friends.

Paul is survived by his sons, Matthew Foster and Scott Foster;  his former wife, Nicole Foster (nee Lachapelle) and their children,  Amanda Butcher (Joseph), Nic Caron-Lavoie (Cedric); his brothers Phillip Foster (Jan) and David Foster (Sarah); his grandchildren Megan, Brice, Benjamin and Alexander; as well as his nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Phyllis Foster (nee Branson); and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Foster.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive, Airdrie, AB) on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kingdom City Church (1604 Summerfield Blvd SE, Airdrie, AB) on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery.  Reception to follow at the church. Donations may be made to the special needs program at Centre Street Church, main campus or thetrust.ca (supporting the most urgent needs at Calgary hospitals).
