Obituary of Shirley Margaret CUTTING

November 12, 1935 - January 7, 2020

Shirley Cutting of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the age of 84 years.

Shirley was born on November 12, 1935 in Whitley, County of Northumberland, England. In 1957, Shirley came to Canada with her two small children to join her husband. She held many jobs over the years all helping to keep people organized; her last place of employment was at the Calgary Remand Center. Shirley was kind, considerate and friendly; she had a great sense of humor and held a strong belief that you treat people the way you want to be treated. The many friendships she developed over the years were much cherished.

Shirley loved to be outdoors and enjoyed going to the zoo, parks, shopping and watching documentaries. Most of all, she loved her family and she enjoyed every minute she could spend with them.

Shirley’s passing is mourned by her daughter, Amanda Cutting, son, David Cutting (Terry); daughter-in-law Deborha Cutting; grandchildren, Kelly, Jennifer (Lucas), Matt (Kelly), Jason, Travis (Veronica), Lyndsey (Aleks); great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kaylee, Olivia, Sam, and Ashton; and her dear friend and family member, Marjorie Kellough.

Shirley was predeceased by her father John William Lamb, her mother Davina Young Lamb, and son Douglas Gordon Westwood Cutting.
