Condolences
Our condolences to the family, from an extended family branch in Dryden. Although I did not know Reg; I knew his sister Margaret and brother in law Eric. We appreciate all of his dedication to the ancestry/family history of the Keatley line. My daughter is named Keatley in recognition of our roots.
My sympathies to everyone who knew him and is grieving.
Reg was a lovely friend and neighbour to us and we miss him a lot.
Reg was a delightful man that we would never get tired of spending time with him. He would always talk about his parents and sisters with a profound passion and love. He would bring his photo albums and describe each photo with such details and emotions that we would be able to envision it as if we were there too and experienced it.
He also would tell us stories of the time he spent as a volunteer in RCMP Graves Information and his hero friend, BuffaloJoe. http://www.rcmpgraves.com/buffalo/namedcst.html

At shopping, First things in his grocery cart were dixie cup ice cream, a pie, and other pastries.
He liked our mashed potato so much, to the point that he would say it was better than her mom’s!
In the bank, he didn’t like the courtesy senior service which would provide a seat at the teller. Rather, he would like to stand in the line.
Socializing was very important to Reg and he would like to spend some time in MacDonald drinking his coffee and reading newspaper. When he would get his coffee, he used to remove the lid right away and take a big sip while it was still super hot.
Reg would always talk highly of his nephew, David. During his last years of his life, David was there for him and we appreciate that. We know it meant a lot to Reg!
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. May God bless his soul and rest him in peace.
