Obituary of Lois Dora Bennett REID

It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Reid announces her passing January 6, 2020. Lois was a fearless woman, and a consummate professional with impeccable style and grace. She willingly gave her support and unconditional love to her family and friends. Lois, and her beautiful smile, will be remembered with deep love and many happy memories by her daughters: Patricia (Terry) Wagner, Lynda (Alan Stracke), and Sheilagh (Peter) O’Dwyer. Lois will also be lovingly remembered by her grandsons: Andrew Hartt (Kris), Lincoln Dwyer (Carisa), Rory and Tate O’Dwyer; great-grandchildren: Emma and Ashton Hartt, Mia Dwyer; her brother W. Brian Holtsbaum (Nina); sisters-in-law: Dorothy Gardner, Beth (Spencer) Ahrens, brother-in-law Stuart (Shirley) Reid; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband Hal (2011), and her parents, Christine and Bill Holtsbaum.

Our family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks for the wonderful care and attention Lois received while at Amica Britannia.  In particular, we are humbly thankful to Patti, Jeanette and Winnie for going above and beyond for Lois on a daily basis.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
