Obituary of Dawn JAMIESON
May 19, 1933 – London, England
May 22, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta
Dawn, beloved wife of Rod Jamieson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the age of 85 years.
Dawn worked for EMI records in London, England before moving to Canada in 1963. She continued to work in the entertainment industry upon her arrival in Toronto. She later moved to Calgary where she worked for Peat Marwick and met the love of her life Rod. Dawn enjoyed watching movies, listening to jazz and big bands while knitting squares to make blankets for the elderly. She was an avid and accomplished bridge player and was involved in the day to day operations of the South Calgary Seniors Bridge Club. She was extremely fond of animals and most recently had formed a very strong attachment to Winnie the Shorkie and was predeceased by Paddy the Cat, whom she cherished for twenty one years and Casey the Dog for thirteen yrs.
Besides Rod, her loving husband of fifty years, Dawn is survived by her two wonderful children; her son and daughter-in-law Alan and Carolyn Jamieson; daughter and son-in-law Dinah and Cory Smith; three lovely grandchildren Hannah, Logan and Courtney all of Calgary.
With respect to Dawn’s wishes no funeral services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Agecare Seton, Mahogany East for their care and compassion over the last 5 months.
