Obituary of Pauline LaBELLE

Pauline LaBelle of  Morley, AB, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the age of 70 years. 

Pauline was the matriarch of our family. She raised her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She was educated in Morley and Arizona. She was employed with various departments of the Stoney Tribal Admin., including Calgary Native Services. She attended the Morley United Church, as well as camp meetings.

Pauline is survived by nieces, nephews, and granddaughters she raised as her own, Michelle (Brent), Jeremy (Yvette), Danielle, Jody (Darnell), Lyle, Desiree (Brent L.), Helena (Bruce), Rayna (Nick), Dru (Bryce), Genny; brother, Ernie (Winnie); sister, Carol; aunties, Yvonne (David), Mary Jean (Dallon); uncle Roland Rollinmud; adopted brother, Martin (Vera); nieces Florine (Gilbert), Sandra B., Lorenda P. Carrie L., Dixie (Tator), Sindy B., Tammy D., Erna B.; nephews, Myron (Diane), Emery (Merna), Eugene, Dustin, Sky, and Todd; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by many relatives from various reserves from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and U.S.A. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Pauline was predeceased by her parents, Louie and Katie; brothers, Ronald, Clifford, Manual, Harvey; sisters, Evelyn, Rena; daughter-niece, Geniel; nieces, Jayann, Cheryl, Verle; nephews, Laron, Dion, Warren, Andrew; granddaughter Sarah; grandsons, Sherman, Coy; maternal grandparents, Moses and Mary Jane Chiniquay; and paternal grandparents, Alex and Jesse LaBelle.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Pauline LaBelle on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. and Thursday, January 16, 2020.  Funeral Services will be held at the Bearspaw Youth Centre on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery.  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Pauline’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
