Obituary of Judith Ann ELLINGHAM

June 22, 1950 – January 13, 2020

Judith Ann Ellingham, born June 22, 1950 in Winnipeg, MB to Audrey and George, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 13, 2020 in Calgary, AB.

A talented physiotherapist and acupuncturist, Judy deeply touched the lives of her many patients. Her pool of friends was extensive; broad, deep and diverse.  These friends were a true reflection of her many interests, talents and commitments.  A spiritual person of integrity and compassion, Judy strove to make every interaction meaningful and positive.  She possessed an insatiable thirst for knowledge and regularly sought opportunities to learn and grow.  Judy’s true passion, however, was cooking; here her talents were legendary!   Anyone who had the privilege of sitting at her table knew she exemplified the notion of “gourmet”.  A discerning collector of Canadian and Japanese art, Judy possessed an eclectic, yet finely tuned aesthetic.

Above all, Judy loved beauty…in its myriad forms…painting, sculpture, fine dining and clothing, jewellery, woodworking, and nature…all brought her extreme joy.  This classy woman of intelligence, curiosity and empathy will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.

Dearly beloved partner of John Morel, Judy leaves friends, colleagues and patients to mourn her passing. Additionally, she is survived by sisters, Donna Inverarity and Sharon Ellingham and niece and nephew, Meredith and Thomas Inverarity.
