Obituary of Margaret Jane de Jong

Margaret de Jong, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, January, 14, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

She was born on April 7, 1947 in Montreal Quebec to Albert and Helen Gulbrandsen.

Her proudest moments were when she became a mom, grandma and great-grandma. In her final days, she was surrounded by her loving family at the Rockyview General Hospital where she was comfortable and happy.

Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dale; granddaughters, Lindsey (Scott) and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Ayla and Logan; her  brothers and sisters, Beverley, John (Werner), Wayne (Emily), Randy (Holly), Wendy (Clark) and Chris (Mark); all her nieces and nephews, Jason, Rose-Lynn, Craig, Allison, Jillian, Brian, Andrew, Robbie, Tracy and David ;  and all of her great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
