Obituary of Muriel Isobel RICHARDS (nee Vincent)

Muriel Isobel Richards beloved wife of the late Alvin Richards, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the age of 80 years.
 
A life-long Calgarian, Muriel attended both King George and Crescent Heights High Schools. After graduating C.H.H.S in 1958, Muriel met Alvin and they were married in June of 1960, spending more than fifty-six years together raising three children. When not raising a family, Muriel worked as a clerk/typist, finally retiring from the CBE in 1997. Some of the many crafty activities she enjoyed participating in throughout life included ceramics, knitting and cake decorating. As an avid reader, Muriel also enjoyed relaxing at home with a good novel, but she also loved spending time unwinding with family and friends by visiting a casino to play the nickel slots or a fun game of bingo. 
 
Muriel is survived by her children, Ken (Anne), Sherri (Geoff), and David; grandchildren, Bryana, Brody, William, Mac, Miller, David, Alex, and Sierra; great-grandchildren Penelope and Elliot; and brother Eric Vincent (Jeannette) and sister-in-law Deane Vincent. Muriel was predeceased by her mother, Vera Vincent (nee Tate) in 1991, father, George Vincent, in 1997, brother, Fred Vincent in 2015, and her husband, Alvin in 2017.
 
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
