Condolences
It's been nearly 20 years but I can still see his face and hear him swearing at my good luck while cackling gleefully at his own -- then shaking hands at the end of the game with only goodwill. I miss him all over again. My sympathy. I'm glad I knew him.
It is with a heavy heart to hear of John's passing. He was a man filled with exuberance, passionate about life, always had a smile and made others laugh easily (usually at the expense of the government - still chuckle thinking of those). He welcomed myself and many friends into the boardgaming community started some 40 years ago at Sim-Con and that carry on for many many years. In return we welcomed him into our home. Michele always commented on the twinkle in his blue eyes and will miss his charm and that infectious smile. Although we grieve at his ship sailing away over the horizon, we also believe there are those on the other side who are cheering seeing his ship moving towards them. Oh what a reception that will be - game on John! Steve & Michele Zanini
Our sincere sympathy to Jack's family. It is with sadness that we heard of Jack's passing. I taught with Jack for many years at Forest Lawn High School. He was always a positive and enjoyable person to work with. He often wandered into our technical area with a joke and a smile and always made our day. Rest in peace Jack.

To John’s family, please accept our sincere condolences. The quality family time you always carved out with each other - including during these challenging final months – always serves as an inspiration.
You will be living through a big change now at each of the many family outings. Your strong bond with each other will help you in the time(s) ahead as will the wonderful memories you have of a truly nice man, father, father-in-law, grandparent, brother, and close friend. He cherished his family so much.
John had a marvelous appetite and zeal for life, was fun to be around, always willing to tell a joke – good or groaner - and/or pun it up for anyone, and for those lucky enough to call him friend, you felt truly blessed.
Thank you for so many nice memories, kind words and deeds, thoughtfulness always, for being the fine example you were, and unforgettable good times these past 45 years. John, I miss you already and will remember you always. Rest in peace Dear Friend,
Ken Hole and Maria Souto
